Has to be the 18500. The 18650 makes it a BEAST, and I've been having contact issues with mine in 18650+kick mode, too. Really need a second top tube for it to work properly.

I wonder if it would work well if I took out the spring and shortened the pin so that it only had 1mm of gap between the delrin bushing. I would think that it would work seeing it would be the same as the connection for the UFS.
I amy just break down and get 18490s and just keep a spare battery on me.
see every review i watch, waiting for tuesday gets harder and harder.

Even with the Stealth cap, which has a shorter connection than the collection tank can ever have, the threads still poke out a bit. I think that keeps it from making good ground contact.

The threaded area at the bottom of the telescope near the button is longer than the top. Even with a few sticking up, there should still be similar contact area to the other threaded connection areas.

Yeah, I thought so too, but the fact remains I keep having contact issues with an 18650 that I don't have with an 18500.

Without the spring you kind have to have it tight. I mean tighter than you would probably like. It is the same issue with the fuse kit. I haven't had an issue, but I am a chronic over tightener. I would probably invest in some 18490s or just get an extra top piece and re-install my springs. Probably wont though.

Very nice intro to the Kick basilray
I've found with the kick I've had to back off on the wattage to between 8.5-9.0 with it
Where with my Darwin I've consistently been at the 10.0-10.2
same carto/liquinator setup on each go figure?
The kick has resurrected my silver bullet from collecting dust.

The first thing I have done to all of the GGTS I have owned was to take out the spring. I collapse the thing any way so it would not have functioned correctly anyway.
Yes I am an over tightener, I like my mod to stay put. When I had the spring in there, the body would come loose all the time.

I always completely collapsed my spring as well. I tried doing it correctly, but it kept moving and pissing me off, so I just tighten it all the way down.
