living with a non-vaping mate

here's a few tips i have learned from the NV vapers, in order to keep peace in the homestead, regarding my addiction ... errr hobby... whatever.

if the mate inquires about the cost of your newly acquired flashy pv - say you won it in a contest OR it was gifted (whether it was or not). thanks baggerboy!

if you've got stashed cash, but need a credit card to buy even more 'fixes' for the addiction, but you only have a joint credit card and don't want the charge to show up on there, use the cash to get a refillable credit card, i.e., green dot (walmart). thanks JC_HOPE!

if you want something, but don't have or want to spend the funds, offer a trade out of your existing stash. thanks bamsbbq and KEITH97M3!

this next one may or may not work for you. if you want your non-vaping mate to leave the room you are in, but don't want to be so blatantly obvious, just start power-vaping. works for me.

power vaping works great... one tip...vape something that they do not like the smell of... i have a few drops of eggnog left that i drip if the need ever comes..lol

doing ahem "favors" for the spouse usually gets you on the good side

and my personal best excuses are "Boy USPS sucks, i ordered this months ago and its finally showing up now" or "Wow i back-ordered this months ago and its just now showing up..."

However Honeybees is a great juice to get people to leave. Taste like cherrios but smells like gym socks love the juice but people tend to steer clear of you when you vape it

Or if you get a large order "I bought in bulk so I wont need to order supply for a really long time." Works great, showing your commitment to not smoking and gives you the room for new item's Then when you get shipments (that arrived at work) it can be "remember...it was in my bulk shipment?" Honosty is always the best policy right???

i am saving this one for a HUGE purchase...i have been really good for almost 2 months and have bought nothing new at all...traded everything i am using right now....

so here it is... "Honey it's been (whatever it says in my signature) since i have smoked, i have bought nothing new since(see signature), i have saved(see signature) and imagine if i were to spend as much as i have saved on analogs but i am only spending(less than whats in signature)..lol

i see a VERY big purchase in my near future once i get back to work full time in a couple of weeks

Here's another idea. It only works if you can keep the financial transactions hidden. Start writing random reviews of stuff on a blog, the forums or do videos on you tube. Then order your stuff and just say oh, vendor XYZ sent this to me to review. Heck, if your spouse doesn't particularly follow along your online habits too closely you don't even actually have to write any reviews as a cover story.

Protip: hide the packing slips that come with your orders that show you actually paid for the stuff

The things I do. My honey is 70/30 (analogs/vape). I have been asked how much have you spent ? My reply one carton of cigarettes do you need some? Also I live in a small town EV1 knows EV1...including the mail man, who now calls me(cell) if I have a package and it's not from amazon I purchase GIFT CARDS for her...one a month. Now when she gets to 100% vaping I won't have to keep certain items in the closet but will share with "Look what I have for you" junquedujour has some great pass on ideas and I do have a green dot...it sucks being sneaky but I got addiction that needs to be fed.
