Have you been to chat lately?

I swung by our chat rooms the other night and saw a few freinds in there I used to hang out with nightly.

It occured to me that the chat room/rooms were no where near as busy as before and I am pretty sure I know why.

midway through last year we had problem after problem with the chat rooms to the point that as soon as we got one issue fixed another would pop up, sometimes even negating the patch or fix we recently took care of.

I would like to take this time to remind members here that we have gotten a few new upgrades to the chat room and have had them online and stable for some time now.

I personally would love to see more of our current members using the live chats for help and entertainment.

There are several rooms that one can use and they are either self explanatory from the title or have a description listed below the title.

Also I would like to let the new members know that our chat has video and audio capabilities. It is not mandatory that you use a camera or audio to use the chat rooms it is just a lot easier on everyone. We learn to talk long before we can read or write.

Maybe if we can get the numbers up in the chat rooms to its former glory where it was "standing room only" we may start having giveaways and contests live in the chat for attending members only.

Anyway I just wanted to shine a light on one of Nu-Vapors greatest assets and encourage you to swing by and try it out.

When I do swing by it's been usually empty or Satman is there. Pretty slow I would love to see it backup to it's glory days again.

Yes, I have gone there a number of times & no one is ever there. I think there has only been 3 times I found others on it. But it was helpful. I'll continue checking it out Papa Hoyt!

Yeah that is what I am hoping to remedy, the chat used to be our biggest draw but the issues we had made it impossible to keep people in there. Now that it is running top notch again I am hoping to see it bustling with people again.

its kinda hard lately for me to log onto chat. i barely get enough time to browse the forum plus my time zone is usually later than others. So my luck no one is ever online in chat by the time i can get in there.

I understand,

Chat is not for everyone and it is predominately CSTs and ESTs that use the chat rooms the most. By the time you PSTs get there we are heading to bed.

Yes Papa Hoyt that is exactly the issue...there was alot of issues with going into chat. You couldn't turn your camera on or others would loose connection and get kicked off the site. I myself went into chat at least 3 times a week until all the issues started. If you can't open your camera then what's being in chat for...If you are saying all the issues are fixed then I will try to go back into chat because that is where I like to spend my time. I want to see my friends and talk with them but...are the issues really fixed? Thank you

Yes Lea I too was one that was pissed about chat being broken. I could not open cams, I was constantly relogging in, it was a disaster.
Once we figured out that no amount of tweaking would fix the chat a new upgrade had just came out and we sprang on it.

Now even with my slow connection I can watch and broadcast cams, audio seems to be better than it had been with the past revision. It is back to running like it should.

Some features have changed places like the auto talk but 90% of everything you are used to is there.
