I have some soldier that is 96% tin and 4% silver, lead free but you said that it will melt and make a hole in the sugru. So that would ruin the atty. ???

That was when I thought it was a silicon plug, but if it is hard/white/porcelain type, then it is most likely sugru. If that is the case, you can probably get away with cleaning the copper electrodes, then tinning them with some solder. It should help keep it from oxidizing and make for better connections. I am worried that there may be bare copper inside your tank on that build though... Where did you get it? Was it the ones I saw in the classy over "there" a while ago?

I'm also concerned about copper dust inside from when I dremeled the electrodes. Yes, I got it in the classys on ECF a little while ago. The guy had 2. 1 silver and 1 black. He told me the guy that bought the silver one was working great but of course he would say that.

You can flush it with some PGA or vodka to clean any dust. I remember those being listed, I had no idea they were copper!!! TBH, that sucks. I guess who ever made them did not realize (or didn't care) that the copper was the wrong material to use for this application...

I need to do a little shopping (local jewelry making store for the silver wire) and get some giantomizer shells so I can make a few more myself. when I do, will post a how to in Nu-Vapor.

Ok, I'll flush out my precious juice and soldier the electrodes and let you know how it goes later. Thanks again for your help and am so glad you are here at NV.

Well, things aren't looking good. I've messed with this atty all day and there's too much to type to tell it all. So, I lightly resanded the electrodes, then applied soldier flux and then soldier the electrodes. I wrapped 5-6 wraps to get the ohms at around 2.0. I don't know why I had to increase the number of wraps but 3-4 wraps fried my coil at 3.7v. So now with 5-6 wraps I get 1.9 ohms and can only vape it at 3.4v and my juice is burning and sometimes it doesn't wick properly and I burn my throat. I'm still using the 32 ga Kenthal wire. Still very little vapor and flavor. My egos put out more vapor than this thing. I've re-wrapped this thing at least a dozen times and I'm getting pretty tired of it. I'm just about ready to throw in the towel unless you have any other suggestions.

5-6 wraps and only getting 2Ω probably means a coil wrap short to the wick, as I initially get 1.6Ω with a 3/4 wrap, and then eventually it climbs to ~2Ω. At 1.6Ω pretty harsh on a 3.7v mod with a fresh battery, but one it is broke in and up to 2Ω it is perfect. Flavor and vapor are great, unless one of my coils gets a short. When that happens I look for it by basically running it dry or emptying the tank, and looking for a spot that is hotter then the rest of the coils when I fire it. Usually it is the top or bottom wrap as they get pulled tight when wrapping to electrodes sometimes. I move it slightly with a toothpick to try to fix, but sometimes no luck. So when that happens I will put a drop of VG on it, burn it, blow it out, then move my coil again till it stops. Once I have it working, it works right for a VERY long time...

Yes, same here, just paid for my V2... 'cept I don't expect to have any questions...

I realized I have a DIY atty in my tacklebox, so will be posting a how to build one by this weekend on that in a separate thread.
