Yeah I have heard that about the lavatube. Not sure why anyone would really want to use lower then 2 ohm on a device like a provari or LT anyways. If you want a warm hot vape proper on a LT get a 3 or 4 ohm carto and crank that thing up to max.

I use 3 ohm cartos @ 4.4 - 4.8 v on my provari. Perfectly happy. I think alot of people do weird stuff like that because they come from egos and use 1.3-1.5 ohm cartos on it to make it work worth a crap. So they move up and stick with what worked and haven't used proper equipment on the new device IMO.

I am willing to bet a box of cartos to anyone who has a LT to buy a box of 3-4 ohm standard boge cartos pop it on the LT and crank up to 5 volts if they aren't happy as they were on ST 1.5 on an ego.

I wasn't trying to put the lava tube down. I really can't as I have never seen one in person. I also understand being cheap... however sometimes being cheap, you end up having to spend more money. If the lavatube is built as cheaply as some posts I have read and you end up having to replace it as many times as it would cost to get a provari, maybe your money is better spent on the provari in the first place. All that being said, I heard the newest version of the lavatubes are bult MUCH better. I've actually been thinking about getting one to bring places that I would want my buzz or provari to risk getting ruined. For example when we go to the lake and hang out on the dock. If it fell to the bottom of the lake, I wouldn't be as devastating as one of my others!

thats my kinda budget...lol

and for those intrerested..

the ego twist is showing in stock at Ovale... 26.99 for 650 mah ...31.99 for 1000 mah..

I wish I could vape that way. However, ego's just didn't do it for me. As a matter of fact I started vaping in 2009 and until last June or so I used ego's. From 2009 to last june I quit vaping 4 or 5 times and even when I was vaping I was still smoking about a half a pack a day. It wasn't until I found VV that I got pleasure from vaping!

Put it this way you can take a 1.5 ohm DC carto and cut the top coil and you will have a 3.0 ohm carto! Remember the SMOK TECH DC cartos run in parallel cutting the resistance in half!

Great points in the last couple of posts especially about spending more money to save more in the long term.Ive been making that argument since I was in my early teens.Then it was convincing my mom that Levi's might be more expensive at the cash register but they lasted longer.Nothing at all wrong about being tight with your money just dont let cheapness cloud your judgement or fool you into thinking that Food Lion soda tastes better than Mt Dew when everyone knows it doesnt.

Krazy my budget is also very tight, I opted and love wood mods as well as other, but you can get a good wood mod for a little more than a new ego. If you get the 18650 Batteries your still better off than with and ego, unless you change batteries in the new ego, but wood will last forever if you take care of it. Just my thoughts, it was a struggle for me too but I was at that point where I was just fed up.
