I use 3 ohm cartos @ 4.4 - 4.8 v on my provari. Perfectly happy. I think alot of people do weird stuff like that because they come from egos and use 1.3-1.5 ohm cartos on it to make it work worth a crap. So they move up and stick with what worked and haven't used proper equipment on the new device IMO.

I am willing to bet a box of cartos to anyone who has a LT to buy a box of 3-4 ohm standard boge cartos pop it on the LT and crank up to 5 volts if they aren't happy as they were on ST 1.5 on an ego.
That is actually exactly what I use on the LT 3ohm SR Boge cartos and they work fine. Great in fact. I actually just got a SS lavatube and now it seems to be just as high quality as a Provari. Again I can't chech the ohm but I can buy a 10 mulitimeter if I need to. I pnly paid about $80 for a stainless steel LT kit where a Provari would have been double and it's solid SS not coated. Even the end caps are solid SS. I am very impressed. I am cheap too and can get 2 lavatubes for the price of a Provari. Now if there is someone who has used both and can tell me the Provari is a much better vape and worth the money and can tell me why, Other than just say It's a Provari, I might be interested and would really like to know the differences. Until then I think I may stick with the LT.

Hey there... don't knock my subaru, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking Runs perfectly through a blizzard and has never needed anything but regular maintenance!

However given the choice, if the kids are not with me to mess the car up I will choose to drive my audi over the subaru every time!

Okay I am wayyy behind on this and too much to do to catch up. Twizted, did you ever decide on just one? I'll probaby never own a provari* but have an original buzz that kicks butt so am somewhat biased but jealous as well. Also have a knock-off LT that works just fine thank you.

*I DO have a birthday coming up but hubs doesn't even know where the power button is on a computer. How do I handle this? Post his cell #? LOL. He'd love that! NOt! He's has a great hat: Disfunctional veteran, leave me alone!

Rebecca, Univapor. All 510 equip: Ask, I've probably got it unless it's some new do-dad.

Just got my Provari V2... What the hell are y'all doing to hit the amp limit on this thing? I've got a 2ohm carto tank on it and it's ROCKIN'. Can't imagine wanting to go higher than 4v with that.

Scratch that. Went up to 4.2v and it's epic. Took a hit off it at 4.5ohms and it started to taste a little burnt. That's still only 2.1A.

DO what I do and just buy your own birthday present! I stopped letting Chris shop for me a long time ago. When it gets here I let him wrap it!

That is my problem, I have no issues with 2ohm on by buzz at 4.5 but on provari, everything tatses burnt at 4.5, I guess I have to find where I hid the 3ohm fusions because 4v just doesn't do it for me.

I'm a big fan(boy?) of the Smoktech Vmax, because among other things, it can power very low resistance coils at high volts (to wattages that would be arguably unnecessary) because of its 5-amp switch, but that's not why you called.

I plead guilty to not having read this whole thread, and I also wonder if you've bought either one of the two devices yet, but this is a comment I've made before about the ProVari V2, which I've held and used, but just once. (That said, I've read a hell of a lot about it as well). My comment was that considering it to be a drawback that it won't power certain resistances at certain voltage levels might be a little bit like considering it a drawback that a Lamborghini doesn't do well at towing a boat trailer. Use either for what's it's best suited to, and you should get a very good ride.

I've spoken with Buzz, and he's a fine guy with a fine product, but I'd have to go with a ProVari out of the two. It's just so damn well-made and highly regarded that I don't think anyone could go too far wrong with one.

I'm using a Buzz Pro, but I have to say, some juices (for me, tobacco juices, and specifically Boba's Bounty) take on new life at high wattage. My perfect vape right now is Boba's at 5.3v on a 1.5 DC. Can't drag long without lip burn, but the experience is primo! It should be stated that I'm a big fan of intensity...

I have test driven the Provari and I WILL purchase it because of its iconic nature (I am an enthusiast, what can I say?). I'm waiting for the blue LEDs to be back in stock. It's a really solid device and feels good in hand. It's a looker, too (and so much the more with blue LEDs, in satin black)! My only issue is that within 10 minutes of trying it, I found a carto in my daily rotation that I couldn't vape for the sake of an E2. This pushed me toward the Buzz Pro as my main device. This does not mean a limited ed. Provari cannot be my beautiful, blue-eyed, well-heeled mistress...

LOL - we have much the same perspective! Provari's got a great rep, and it's SO solid! I have to say, though... from a utilitarian perspective, the failure of the unit to deliver what I wanted at a specific resistance (a critical one, being as I share it with an eGo when I'm incognito) seemed a harbinger of inconvenience to come with the Provari. I like the fact that Buzz will deliver right up to the point of burning a carto: intensity. In this way, Provari is much more like the sedate Audi, and Buzz like the untameable bovine.
