Talking Interesting e-cig article on National Geographic News Watch

I came across this really great article on National Geographic News Watch Cigarettes vs. e-Cigarettes: Which Is Less Environmentally Harmful? – News Watch the author makes some really interesting points, some of which discussed here, it's worth a read.

Here's my inspired post Are E-Cigarettes Environmentally Friendly? « Big Vapers

That article made some good points and I like to see that kind of good publicity for ecigs in general. Although I don't know how eco friendly ecigs are considering the production of batteries is not friendly to the environment or fossil fuels at all, but the same goes for cell phones, hybrid vehicles and every other battery powered device. Still better than leaving nasty ass cig butts all over the place any day

An unusual spin on vaping verses smoking. I do agree a lot of smokers tend to be really rude regarding disposal of their butts though. I always hate seeing butts discarded on the ground and left there.

As far as the other points on environmental impact I have to agree with GAC.

True, but there are green ways to create energy. Maybe e-cig manufacturers can look into gree tech for the production of their batteries, etc ...

Well, it will be advancements in battery technology as a whole since ecigs are very small portion of battery operated devices. Here is a good read right along the lines of what you are talking about.
