Having carto probs! HELP please.

So, I just got some new SR and LR Boge Cartos.

Both my wife and I had an LR carto die (I think) on the initial trigger pull. Filled with juice, did not flood it, let it sit, pulled the trigger - no crackle, just smoke! Tried on a few different setups, same prob. I pull triggered for a few secs and looked the down the carto and the coil was bright red and nothing but burnt tasting smoke came out.

This also happened with 2 SR cartos.

My setup:
either a 650 or 1100mAh eGo bat
or my Omega
drip tip

My Wife's setup:
650mAh eGo bat
drip tip

I just don't get it! Also, the last LR carto my wife used from this pack only lasted 1week. That carto did something weird, at least I've never experienced this, it still crackles, but when you try to pull on it, it's really tight, feels like there is no airflow, you can taste juice in your mouth but little or no vapor comes out.

Now I know I'm new to cartos, but this doesn't sound right. I have other cartos that work fine and last long. What am I doing wrong? Am I doing something wrong?

Is there anything I can do to fix these cartos?

I just feel like I'm throwing money away at this point.

Suggestions, Ideas, HELP!

It sounds like a bad batch of SR cartos for sure. If you have killed them on both an eGo and an Omega, I can't see them being the problem. Heck, it's hard to get an SR carto burned with an eGo.

It could be that the filling is packed too densely, so that your normal filling process isn't working due to slow absorption. I would try using a thinner juice and a longer soak time or even starting with a condom fill to ensure they are thoroughly wet around the coil on the first puff. I had some off-brand cartos that came with a cheap syringe tank and I had two die by the second puff until I realized they didn't soak up well. They were still crap but I did get the remaining ones to work with a long soak and topping off again.

Any chance of getting a replacement/credit with the vendor?

I though it might be a bad batch .. cause it just doe not make sense ... in fact as I write this my carto is acting up (3 days old) getting tight on me ... In fact one of the SR cartos I filled with the condom method and first puff -NOTHING! I figured I did something wrong.

I'll talk with the vendor ... but it still bums me out ... maybe I should ry a different vendor or different brand carto.

I think those LR Cartos are just not right for your Ego batteries. I think you should stick with the standard cartos.

They need to be kept really wet. Sounds like maybe not enough juice in them. Try soaking them, drip down the center too. That is where the coil is and where you need juice. If you have a unsealed battery you must be careful getting that center flooded. It could go into your battery.

I use LR cartos on my ego set ups all the time, they work fine.

No offense but if you drip liquid down the center tube you will draw nothing up but warm liquid into your mouth.

Right now I am vaping a ego PT, with a LR 2.0 Boge that was condom filled and allowed to sit for a few hours. I blew out excess on a paper towel, then topped up again.

That sucks when you have carto troubles. Could be a bad batch or not wet enough.
as everyone else has said.
I can tell you that my husbands cartos (3 days) don't last as long as mine (about a week). & I vape way heavier than he does.
I think the draw tightens up faster and tastes off quicker is that he uses a very dark juice. Mine are very light coloured.
I'm not sure if it is the type of juice but that's what happens here. we both vape a 70pg/30vg blend.

I am not using an ego now but when I did use it I used Lr's with no problems, I don't know alot but it sounds like a bad batch to me. Its probably not the vendor themselves but perhaps they need to be aware to check their stk.

Just opened up another from the same pack ... coil turns bright red instantly and start smoking ... now i'm stuck at work with no cartos, no tanks, no nothing ... AHHHH ... how am I gonna make it for the rest of the day ...

I sometimes fill a carto clear to the top getting juice down in the center hole but blow it out when the carto is saturated. I'm impatient so I like to do it quick and dirty. I also do that Tarypin (sp) spin to make sure all the juice is getting to the bottom.

You mentioned a tight draw. This can happen if the carto is too saturated and the filler material expands and compress the airway tube. But it sounds more like you got a bad batch.
