I personally didn't set that status system up... but from what I can understand it has to do with your time here and activity.... so once your post counts and activity go up you should just move up in ranks.
There is a option that you can choose in paid subscriptions that your status will be changed and you get more features on the site... you can choose either a gold or platinum donation to the site. When you do that your status will change to either one you chose.

I am old and still a jr. member, but I will get around to paying my subscriptions, and that covers my road privilage tax. Then I can drive all over these forum roads. I can't remember when I was a jr. anything. That was about 105 years ago. Drive on driver.
